Inducement Day!
I came up the night before and took the girls to daycare the next morning while Cam and Kam checked into the hospital. She was having light contractions on her own. They allowed me to bring her breakfast and by the time I got there, at 9:24 she was dilated to a 2. They catheter her cervix and filled it to 30cc's of fluid to stimulate head pressure to help her dilate.

I'm so lucky I get to be here for this one too...COVID has been a challenge for grandmas at births but I've been blessed to get to come to the hospital despite the pandemic.

at 11:15 she got a epidural and was dilated to 4+
12:39 started Pitocin
1:39 broker her water - had her lay on her side with a peanut ball between her legs
2:55 D'cells keep dropping they put her on oxygen
4:28 they turned off Pitocin and are considering a C-section due to babies heart rate dropping when contracting.
I needed to go get the girls from day care so here we are at 4:39 having a snack:
Cam text that she was going in to have a C-section and he and her doctor gave her a blessing. The girls and I knelt down and said a prayer before leaving to take Harper to dance and Kambree called to give me dance class instructions on her way to being wheeled down to surgery.
5:28 pm Quinton Gayle Wright arrived!
21 inches long 7 pounds and 14 ounces
Both mom and baby...perfectly healthy!

The next morning I took the girls to daycare and switched out with Cameron (the hospital allowed two in for the birth but only one visitor at a time)

That night the girls and I had a sleep over in Cam & Kam's bed - some of us slept better than others!
Feb 5th
The next morning Cam & Kam WALKED home from the hospital (as it was just around the corner from their house) and caught us trying to decorate and get ready for baby Q's arrival!
