Christmas Letter 2013!

Merry Christmas!
Thanks for checking in on our blog for our annual Christmas letter.
We love this season and we love each of you - even those that just follow our blog that we've never met. Thank you for you comments and support.
We're so grateful for this season and for Jesus Christ, our Savior.  We hope this post finds you healthy, happy and ready to enjoy the holidays.

Where to begin? I guess I'll start where we left off last year?
Christmas Eve last year - pillow pets!

• In January Kambree had completed all her paper work to go on a mission but couldn't sell her contract for her apartment down at Snow. She decided to stay the next semester and finish up a couple classes that she needed to get into nursing school when she gets back and finish out the year on drill team. Or at least that was the initial plan....

• Austin was living at home working 60+ hours a week taking care of handicap women in their group home. He was saving money to get to school in the fall, hanging out with his friends every chance he got and growing a Jedi braid.

• Devree was up to her eyeballs with the drill team and preparing for nationals in Florida. She was also dating Tyler, taking college courses in high school and pretty much burning the candle at both ends!

• Alex was in 8th grade and started swimming with MAC and looking forward to playing water polo in the spring. He wasn't thrilled about swimming on the swim team but since he couldn't' seem to find something better to do with his free time than play video games, his loving mother signed him up.

• Rylee was a Starlett Dancer and auditioned for her first dancing gig - a movie! She made first cuts but not 2nd. She was in her first year of junior high and bringing home 4.0 report cards - despite the repeated tears over math.

• James was working with SMS - hitch work - 16 days on 14 days off and making sleds and some sort of contraption to lift his snowmobile onto the back of the truck.
• I was just trying to sell a few houses and hold down the fort while James was at work and waiting patiently for it to warm up enough to ride my bike!
• 

 We went on a California trip to Six Flags (without our Dev due to her intense drill practice schedule).

Then I get a message from Kambree around the end of January. 

I met a guy and I really like him. 

(No surprise. She really likes all the guys at first.)

No, I really like him. We've been together every day since we met. His last name is Wright. 

(As in Mr. Wright?)
I think he might be the one?

And so began our biggest event of 2013, Kambree and Cameron's marriage!

In an effort to consolidate a years worth of events (as recorded in this blog in more detail). I'll just hit the highlights for the rest of the year.
I've also asked everyone to write a blurb about themselves (I bribbed them with candy bars!) that I've copied and pasted from our family Facebook page at the end of this post.

In October all the stars aligned (no one had school, drill, basketball or work) and we went on a 3 night quick cruise to Ensenada.

James Richhart If you want to know about me, you don't have to buy me a candy bar. I am an open book. I have been working on motorcycles, snowmobile, inventions, and the house. I am looking for a great job. I have a great wife and great children whom I love very much! I secretly want to be a great singer and an even better comedian, but I will stick to being a safety consultant and an on the sidelines inventor.

Wendy Johnson Richhart Besides planning and pulling off a wedding, I managed to ride in 5 organized bike rides, give up grains and refined sugars (for the most part), sell a few houses and juggle everyone's schedules. I am now a "mother in law" and that's a little scary but luckily we have an awesome son in law who has set the bar high for our other children and their choice in spouses. I am looking forward to being a grandma (but not too soon - not for my sake but for my cute CKam's in nursing school) and finding them the most awesome house in MURRAY! (Not ALASKA!) I am teaching Sunday School - Alex has been in my class this year. And I'm looking forward to putting lots more miles on my bike when the weather will permit!

Kambree Wright 2013 has been very good to me! I have had an overabundance of blessings from my Father in Heaven this year. I met my husband Cameron Wright on January 25th at Snow College. He is my biggest blessing and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner! We were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on July 2nd for time and all eternity. Cameron and I are living in Manti Utah in a motel. Yes! We live in a motel. We are actually the managers of the motel and live on site. A few of the highlights from motel life are: calling the cops on a lady we thought was dead, being woken up at least once a week between 2 and 4 am to check someone in, and countless distress calls (usually from the “elderly”) on how to work the television. This year I also graduated from Snow College with an Associates of Science degree and was accepted into the Snow College Nursing LPN program. I have just finished my first semester of the program and after 17 weeks, 30 tests, 8 finals, plenty of emotional breakdowns (ask Cameron) and countless hours of studying I’m proud to say I passed all my classes! Thank you 2013 I couldn’t have asked for a better year!

Austin Richhart This year hasn't been more or less exciting than any of the other years I have ever lived, But on the bright side, I was finally able to quit my job at TKJ. I am now a freshman at snow college, and I have made a bundle of good friends. I am grateful for the time I was able to spend with my family on vacation this semester. I'm also happy to be home for the next couple weeks for Christmas break. (I want a Receses Candy Bar) 

Alex Richhart This year I got my Learners Permit. I am so glad because I get to drive with my parents. My parents don't like driving with me because their scared. Well at least I am accomplishing something. I also started on my eagle project. It took for ever to get my paper work signed. I also got much better at my school work. It's mostly because I was so lazy that I didn't want to do my work. I also got some awesome presents for christmas for my cousin, sister and my mom. But I can't tell you what they are, because its going to ruin Christmas. So ya that's my year.


And our Ella is still around! This is her favorite spot - the pre-wash!
