HARPER LEOLA'S BIRTH

Sunday May 31st
I got a call that they were heading to the hospital.
Kambree's membranes had been stripped on Thursday the 28th and she had started cramping and contracting. Contracted all through the night Thursday night, got up Friday and showered to get ready to go to the hospital and they stopped!
Started up again Friday night but not very close together.
Saturday they went on a long walk, ate spicy food and tried everything they could to speed up contractions.
She contracted all night Saturday and they were about 5 minutes apart and pretty strong on Sunday morning when they called me to tell me they were leaving for the hospital.
I was to Nephi when Cameron called to say she was only dilated to a 2 and they were probably going to send her home, they were going to wait 30 minutes and check her again.
We talked about meeting in Manti - since I was half way there - then I decided to just drive to the hospital as a practice.
This is what I walked in to see around 8:30 am:
They came back in to check her and she was dilated to a FOUR and full effaced!
We're going to have a baby!

Cameron carrying in all the bags:
The incubator waiting for Harper's arrival:
Because her cervix was so high - they had her hold off on her epidural - here she is contracting around 10:30 am:

The vinyl on the wall:
Dev had sent Kam a SnapChat that said "Work Man" and Kambree sent this one back:
Finally around noon  the anesthesiologist administered her epidural.
She was dilated to a 6
1:45 they started the Pitocin
3:30 she's dilated to a 7 but Harpers heart rate is dropping with the Pictocin so they turned it off.
Gave her oxygen:
They mentioned that if she doesn't dilate she may need a C-section.
Cameron gave her a blessing and the doctor said they'd give her a few more hours.

Around 5 pm she was an 8!!
Around 6 pm she was still and 8 and the baby's heart rate was really dropping during each contraction.
They stopped her contractions.
Cameron and doctor gave her another blessing.
This was the last I saw my baby girl being whisked off to have her baby girl.
And here she is!!
6 pounds 2 ounces
20 inches long
Born at 6:38 pm
