We adopted Alex at age 10 almost 11. About a year into him living with us he was observing Austin's and Jame's biceps and pointing to his biceps asked, "Mom, when I get big these?" (I think I might have blogged about it but I can't find the entry.) I told him I didn't know? That it all depends on his genetics? Austin did nothing to get big biceps - he got them from Dad but Alex has different birth parents and I really don't know what genetics he has? We will just have to wait and see? I asked if his birth dad was big? He told me he was "really, really big" but he was four when his birth dad died. Of course he was big - everyone is big when you're four.
Watching Alex grow is like a sweet surprise. We really have no idea what he'll be like? Not knowing anything about the physical attributes of his parents, I assumed he'd be a small guy as I was taller than his half brother? (They share a mother, not a father.) But I think I might be wrong? He is currently almost five foot eight and barely 15 and he's put on an inch in just over 2 months. Growing like a week.
But as for the biceps? And the golden question, "Mom, when I get big these?" Apparently the gun show begins at age 15?
