January 3rd
Hallelujah!!! Alex's eagle project has been mailed and through generous, last minute donations, it has been paid for!! Thank you everyone for donations, supplies, offering to share your connections, discounts, sharing our link, your kind words of support, ideas and encouragement. He could not have completed this without all of you! — with Alex Richhart.

January 6th
Argh! Kids have 4.5 days off this month but Murray High's choirs have a concert right during it? WHAAA! I so wanted to go somewhere warm and ride my bike!

January 7th

Just waiting to hear Devree Richhart and Veronica Trujillo sing the national anthem! — at Murray High School (Utah).

January 10th
Thanks Facebook Peeps! My phone beeped all day (and into the night) with birthday wishes and messages. And..... all your wishes paid off! I had a great day and it's not over! I have the next week packed with dinners, lunches and even a breakfast to commemorate (or commiserate) my turning a year older!
Rylee Richhart made the most fabulous Paleo cheesecake for me last night and since everyone else ate the regular sugar/flour cake that James made, (the first time EVER in our married life that I've seen him make a cake) I have most of it left! (It's just like normal cheesecake but made with a nut crust instead of graham cracker and sweetened with raw honey instead of sugar - so good!) I tried to thank everyone for the birthday wishes but if I missed you THANK YOU! It's not so bad to get older when you feel so loved!   Now I think I'll go have some cheesecake.....

January 12th
For almost 5 years Alex has been measuring his hand against mine while in church. When he started, his fingertips barely hit my top knuckle. Today, his fingertips have surpassed mine (And I do not have small hands! I can reach an octave and two notes!) When he placed his hand against mine today, I sighed and told him I just didn't get to have him as a little guy for long enough! "I know" he said, "I wish I had been your baby." #adoptionmoments#myimportedchild #turnbacktheclock

January 13th

Whaa! I have my 18 hours of continuing ed for my real estate license completed but only 3 are core classes! Need six more hours of core courses. Taking code of ethics online right now. The screen shots are for SUPER slow readers. I could read the screen and run around my block before the next screen comes up! Shoot me now. Six more hours of this??

January 17th 

When I convince my hubby to go grocery shopping with me, we always come home with things I NEVER buy. This week's James pick was liverwurst. (Yuck!) Tonight he was serving some up and we all turned up our nose - except Alex who's eye lit up! "I love this! This is like the meat paste I had in Ukraine." He earnestly questioned where we got it, how much it was and then later came up and put his arm around my shoulder and informed that THIS is what he wants for his birthday! A package all his own! Who knew liverwurst could bring my boy such joy?

January 20th

Note to self: You should have gotten your lazy self out of bed and gotten your workout in with Amy Mortimer Walton at 5:30 am instead of getting lapped over and over by the swim team doing their dry land drills! (4th week of Couch to 5k looks like I'm 80 compared to these 14-18 year olds!!😕)

So proud of my girlie, Kambree Wright and her enthusiasm and love for nursing school. The things she did today would make me gag (perhaps even spew?) but she loved it!! So grateful for you medical peeps that find intrigue and excitement in things that most of us find utterly disgusting!
