Since we are a Redbox/Netflix family and James is gone so I'm a widow this holiday, I took the kids to we see a movie to ring in the New Year! We went to see Disney's "Tangled" and loved it!
We made it to the 9:30 pm show and home just in time to break out the goblets and Martinelle's and watch the ball drop.
Then we stayed up until 2 am playing Bananagrams and watching Netflix.
Did you know that the Wii will keep track of how many hours each game was played and on what day? It also keeps track of how many hours you watch Netflix. Yesterday we logged in 24 hours and 19 minutes with Wii playing and Netflix watching combined! How can this be? There is only 24 hours in the day?? Apparently the tally for Netflix includes what was watched on our computers (during our Bananagram marathon) and what James watched in Wyoming on his Ipod! Add to that 24 hours and 19 minutes, a full length movie not included in this total! This is certainly proof that we are really partying this Christmas break!

This afternoon my daughters and I were talking about "Tangled" and they (Kambree and Devree) both confessed that a I resembled a certain character in the movie. I thought as much myself. In fact while watching the movie I couldn't help but think "Man, I would like to play that part!"
Any ideas who? Well, you be the judge....
Yep, there certainly is a resemblance! Too bad it isn't her perky shape!

8 of my blog friends said something...:
We went to see that yesterday too! How fun! We caught a 3:50pm show though. It would've been hilarious if we'd been in the same theater. LOL
I noticed her songs seemed very "broadway" like. In fact I even wondered if they made it with the intent to turn it into a play at some point. I'm not really quite sure how they'd do that, but it's Disney. They can do anything! :^)
I didn't even relate you to this character- I'm sure you could play her but you are much much less bristly.
at least you don't resemble her less-than-lovely attitude:) Agreed, a great show!
I thought it had a very Broadway musical feel too and thank you Amy for telling me I'm not as bristly (but I bet there are days my children would disagree! Although I'm always kicking them OUT Of the tower, not locking them in!)
I think as villains go,she's sort of pretty - when she's young of course - so I don't mind resembling her. (I actually have pictures of myself with bugged out eyes and with my current permed and colored hair....I do look like her. Not quite as gypsyish but most definitely a resemblance.)
I also resemble the "HOA president" on Over the Hedge or at least my children think so. It may have something to do with her love of real estate and her dislike of rodents? But I can see the resemblance there too!
Now, I just need Disney or Pixar or whoever to hirer me to do a voice over since they've already imitated my looks!
:)
I actually got a little uncomfortable during the movie thinking I may have been too controlling of a mother at times. Oh well, I'm almost done now anyway.
We saw it on New Years Eve as well. However, I never put you and her together.
Thanks Stacy! I don't think I ACT like her -for the most part - but you know when someone does a character sketch of you and exaggerate's the obvious? Well, then she does actually look like me. Sort of scary but true.
