Summer

Okay, I'm caught up.
With pictures at least.
Not really sure anyone is following anymore but keeping up this blog is my attempt to scrapbook our lives and keep track of events.
We had a fabulous time in Puerto Plata.
I booked this trip six months ago when I first started working for jetBlue with the hopes that it would keep me from quitting.
It did.
I told James we better plan another trip. Because I really need incentive to keep this job. It's not that the job is that bad. It's usually okay, it's just making time for it. I tried to write down my ideal schedule and there just isn't 24 hours in the week that I want to work! Luckily, I've been able to trade/give away a lot of my shifts and then hope and pray for AVTO! (Advance Volunteer Time Off)
Real estate has been booming and such a blessing. Between Alex's wisdom teeth, Austin's nose surgery, Devree's drill fees and need for a car and all the other unexpected things in life, we're so very grateful for the work!
Summer is roughly half way over or half way left depending on who's looking at it.
I enjoy the lack of schedule, lack of school lunch making and crazy homework assignments that suck parents in just as much as children.
I also like having all my chicks in the coop.
BUT school is good for their brains and for their and my sleep schedule. I honestly think I might have gotten more sleep with infants!
Kambree is working two jobs. Mo's waiting tables and then at the farmers market selling jump ropes for the Adults With Disabilities Center.
Austin FINALLY got a job only to have his surgery and not be able to work. We're hoping he'll be cleared to start working Monday after his follow up. He got a job delivering pizza for Papa Johns.
Devree (and I) have this month off of drill. Thank goodness. She heads to girls camp next week and EFY the week after.
Alex is getting ready for scout camp. He's really excited because James is going for half of it.
Rylee is getting ready for her first girls camp next week too. Then the following week while Dev is at EFY and Alex & James at camp, we're heading to St George to spend time with our favorite cousins! We're flying standby on Delta. First time using my OAL (Other Air Line) benefits.
James is now working in Colorado instead of Wyoming - and he has to fly - so I get to keep his little fuel economy car. Woot for me!
Devree is getting her license at the end of the month. Gulp.
AND we have the "Six Days & Three Birthdays" coming up.
Devree gave me a list a mile long with exact colors, brands and where I can get said items.
Kambree said "I want cowboy boots."
And Alex came up with:
  • Shoes ($13.50 skater shoes at Walmart)
  • A belt
  • And pens for school.
Wow. He's really going to break the bank!
