After the parade we went to the park for the hula hoop contest. (Rylee wins tickets for us to the community theater every year.)
My parents were both having back issues and laid down during the puppet show while waiting for the hula hoop contest. It started to lightly sprinkle so my mom pulled out her trusty umbrella. Funny picture huh?

Even Alex tried to hula hoop. Take note on where his hoop is. Yes. He lasted about 5 seconds but at least he tried!
Yep! She won....again! 4th year in a row.
Austin and Dev gave it a go in the older age division but Austin lasted about 2 seconds longer than Alex. Dev did much better but didn't win and for some reason I didn't get a picture of her.
Then we went to lunch for my Dad's B-day and brought the work of art cupcake creation!
Tonight we're staying home and lighting Sparklers. Woot. James is still working hard on getting us ready for the great outdoors tomorrow and I am working on getting the laundry done and catching up my blog. Pretty sure I have the easier job.....
