The rainstorm - that lasted ALL night long!! (I am IN our tent taking this picture and the rain is really coming down! This picture doesn't do it justice!)

The next morning!

We were roasting sausages and Alex asked if I could smell them cooking. No, my allergies were acting up and I couldn't smell anything. He then told me that I must have a DEAF NOSE.

Alex had gone exploring and came back telling me about some HUGE cabins he found. I jokingly asked if we should go play Goldilocks?

Alex: What Goldilocks Mom?

I then gave him a quick story of The Three Bears and then his face looked like this (see below) and he said. "Mom, we will not be Goldilocks, we will get shot!!"

There's a lot more to our hiking trip but due to excess amounts of laundry and just trying to catch up with life. I am posting this now. Perhaps someday I will share all the adventurous details?
