Happy 13th Alex!

For Alex's birthday I let him pick breakfast, which was omelets."You know those things with eggs that you fold?" and he made hand motions.
We went back and forth about the friend party. I usually am done at age 13 with friend parties - or at least I was with Austin. It just wasn't "cool" anymore? But given Alex's lack of birthday celebrations in his life, I let him decide. He decided he didn't want a party with friends,  he wanted a party with his family! So, we all went to see "Thor" at 11:45 this morning and then stopped for Alex's favorite food, curly fries from Arby's.

He opened presents this afternoon because he and James are picking up jet ski's for tomorrow and camping overnight tonight. The rest of us are meeting them in the morning.
Here he is with his new shades from Kambree...

He did invite Brach to the movie and Brach hung out with him most the day.

We had him open presents this afternoon and he got new clothes, shoes, a mirror for his junior high locker (so he can check his braces for food after lunch), a binder to help him keep track of seven different classes and homework, a watch (like Dad's) and an I-home for his I-pod.
He ripped through his presents- throwing them aside and the paper on the floor - and then asked "Is that it?" "Yep." I said. He started playing with his I-home and then later came and told me "Thank you for everything mom." It was then I sprung the LAST present on him.
A new 355 velocity air soft bb rifle!

Here they are attaching the flashlight to the gun....

Then they were off for camping but not before I grabbed a quick treat and we sang Happy Birthday and had him blow out a candle!
(This new hat is a gift from Devree. Rylee gave him bb's for his gun!)

Happy Birthday my boy. I can't believe you are 13!

Here's a couple pictures James took up camping. He and Alex stopped and bought flat iron steaks and grilled them over the fire for dinner!

2 of my blog friends said something...:
