Immigration Office

Immigration was pretty uneventful. I went there to turn in my I-600 Application for "Advance Processing of Orphan Petition". Which sounds sort of weird. It should be called something like "Application For the Government To Charge a Big Fee To Get Money and Screen Parents That Are Patiently Jumping Through Hoops to Adopt an Orphan" That makes a lot more sense. I also had to pay for additional fingerprinting to be done for James and myself. Nope, they don't do the fingerprinting there on the spot, that would be too easy, they'll send you an appointment to go somewhere else and at some other time for that.
The office was kind of a bleak place. I had no idea I'd go through security just to drop off papers. I sat there for awhile and was closing my eyes sort of drifting off and then this big booming "WENDY" came over the loud speaker and I jumped.
The gentleman that helped me was very sympathetic to my scheduling situation and told me I could go get fingerprints anytime despite whatever date we're scheduled. We'll see if the fingerprinting people are as understanding when we show up outside of our appointed time.
I didn't have my notarized Home Study back but brought in the the copy McKay emailed me. I know she's got it in the mail so I have another appointment to take it in on Wednesday. We'll see if it gets here or if I have to cancel and wait until after the Thanksgiving weekend to reschedule. Regardless, I should be able to get our fingerprints done before James heads out for work again. And then I guess we wait....for how long? Who knows?
Still haven't heard anything from Lex. Got the mail myself today so I shouldn't be surprised, I just can't stand not to check the mail when it comes at 10:30 in the morning and no one will be home to bring it in until after 3:00.

What translator program do you use? have you tried www.imtranslator.com you type, then it translates to russian and then it also tells you how the russian translated... confusing, but it's easy to change. I have to retype things two or three times to get it to make sense too.
