Language Laughs

This morning it was just Alex and I at breakfast. (The girls were fast asleep as they went to the midnight showing of Eclipse and Austin was at a sleep over.) I made scrambled eggs and Alex wanted to put guacamole on them but couldn not for the life of himself remember how to say it. I can't even attempt to write the words he was coming up with. I finally told him it started with a "g" and he said "Jellybean?" At this point I was laughing and just had to tell him what it was. Guacamole IS a hard word.
Then I asked him to say the prayer. He always prays that James is safe and warm (even when it's 95 degree's outside) and then he prayed that, "No one have any calories." That's a good blessing for those of us dieting but I quickly realized he was praying for no one to have any CAVITY'S. We're going to the dentist today. That's an even better request!
He's off to his tutor-he's taking the short cut and wants to know if we can make a short cut to Brach's house. I can't image how you can make a short cut to Brach's house. He told me we could dig a hole and put in a slide and slide to Brach's house. Oh my. Such an imagination. Of all the inventors he likes (Thomas and Ben) I think he truly idolizes Jimmy Neutron!

I love Alex-isms, and also hearing about his inventive ideas. He will go far in life with all of his ideas, and I hope he goes back to Ukraine to show all of the people who ever doubted his abilities.

LOL....another 'Alexism'. Jelly beans...I laughed at that. It's so funny when these kids try to explain something that they don't know the word for. And sometimes, when they do know the word, the way the pronounce it is so funny. Alex is one cool kid...you are so blessed to have him, just as your blog title suggests. :)

I wish Katya would eat guacamole but she just turns her nose up at it!
