Quarantined!

I've been in contact with Snezhana (Alex's half brother Ivan's wife-whom I really like!) and she told me that she and Ivan have Alex for the next two weeks due to a quarantine at the orphanage!? She told me Alex is well and not to worry. Quarantine? Just the word sends chills up and down my spine! So, being the overly concerned-to the point of crazy-mama bear that I am-I contacted Adpotionway for more info and here's their response.

I will check on that, but it is a normal and usual thing to have a quarantine in the orphanage type school. It might be as simple as flue or other viral infection. If there is a number of cases in the town the orphanage is closed for visitors basically. Or if the infection is in the school, they recommend relatives to take the kid out for a short while and the others stay in with limited contact with each other.

I am sure it's not a big deal.

Whew! I guess it makes sense. Think about how the flu travels through your own family. Now multiple that by 520 children!! Oh, I feel sorry for the orphanage workers!
I'm so glad Alex has a place to go. I'm really hoping he'll work on his ENGLISH with Snezhana. (Alex is Snezhana reading this to you?)

We're off to buy Easter dresses for the girls. Wish us luck as finding dresses for Kam and Dev is an almost impossible undertaking! Yes, I realize that Easter is not for another seven weeks but I will be in the Ukraine for Easter so it's now or never for new dresses!
