April 18th Day 32

I am in Dniproprotrosk and so far Alex and I have seen darling baby kittens (0nly five days old), watched Snezhana make Easter cake and helped her make potato dumplings. I think we're going to color eggs a little later. This is way better than being in our crummy apartment.
Snezhanan made us a yummy dinner of meat and mashed potato's and although she's let me help put the dumplings together mostly I'm just observing, drinking herbal tea and sweets. This is the life!
Alex and I caught the bus here without a problem except we got the last two seats and he was on the very back seat and I on the front. He looked so cute in his jogging suit and baseball cap. Ivan's Dad (Andreas Ivonovich) told him he already looks American.
This morning I did an Easter egg hunt for Alex with plastic eggs and candy-last Sunday he was still at the orphanage and tomorrow we'll be here so I hurried and hid the eggs during his 5 minute flat bath this morning. He was more excited about finding the grynva I put in the eggs than the candy itself. Then he hid them for me.
I have pictures but can't upload until we're back in our apartment.
It's so quite here compared to our apartment, quiet and clean! I'm in heaven...

4 of my blog friends said something...:

How fun to experience Easter in a completely new culture. That sounds like a neat experience to really see how a family functions and celebrates in another country.

You are going to have to have a how to make potato dumplings night (and Easter cake) at your house when you get home.
